This dress features a dramatic off-the-shoulder portrait neckline with a wide sculptural collar that gathers at the center around a pearly teardrop-style jewel. The fitted bodice extends into a pointed basque waist, creating that quintessentially romantic 1980s princess silhouette before opening into a wonderfully full gathered skirt.
The fabric has a smooth, lightly lustrous finish that catches the light beautifully and shifts between vivid periwinkle, royal blue and violet depending on the lighting.
One of my favorite details is the sheer amount of fabric in the skirt—the approximately 70" hip measurement gives it plenty of fullness and movement without requiring a fitted hip.
